LOCATION:

The City of Livermore is a general law city incorporated in 1876.  It encompasses approximately 20 square miles and is strategically located in southern Alameda County along the 580-freeway corridor.  Livermore is located 43 miles southeast of San Francisco and 30 miles southeast of Oakland.

EDUCATION: The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District serves about 13,225 students in kindergarten through the 12th grade through 10 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 2 comprehensive high schools, and 3 alternative schools.
