Business Development
The Business Development Focus Group includes the Industrial Roundtable and regional marketing groups like the Bay Area East Shore and many members of the Economic Development Director's Council.

Economic Development Director's Council - Much of the business development work is actually planned and carried out via the East Bay's Economic Development Director's Council which has it's own portal and webpage but requires a Membership Login.
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009 - Stimulus Projects (ARRA Stimulus)
The East Bay has worked with a number of groups and programs to respond to the recession and the ARRA funding opportunities, beginning with the Bay Area Recovery Plan that was designed to identify and prioritize a wide variety of projects in the East Bay and Bay Area that was submitted to the State in 2009.
STIMULUS 2010
More recently, the East Bay EDA has provided support to East Bay counties and cities that received ARRA Stimulus Recovery Zone Facility and Energy Bond allocations. This page provides more information on the tax-exempt bonds (structured much like Industrial Development Bonds, but with very little restriction on users or use thereof).
East Bay Green Corridor Partnership
The Partnership was established in 2007 by the cities of Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and Richmond, the University of California, Berkeley, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and expanded in 2009 to include the cities of San Leandro and Alameda, and the Peralta Contra Costa Community Colleges and the Lawrence Livermore National Lab
The Green Corridor is a regional initiative working to strengthen the economy through support for emerging green and sustainable industries, green job development, and alternative energy research with a goal to establish the region as a national leader in green innovation.
Administrative support is being provided by the East Bay EDA and a full-time Project Manager was recruited in October 2010, under the supervision of the Executive Director of the East Bay EDA that will serve as a member of the organization’s business development and event planning staff. One of the first tasks will be the upgrading of the current Green Corridor website, www.ebgreencorridor.org. Federal Stimulus Package 2009 and the East Bay EDA
The East Bay EDA has been asked by Secretary Dale Bonner, CA Business, Transportation & Housing Agency, to work with the Bay Area Economic Institute to come up with a plan for the East Bay and the Bay Area, with projects submitted to the State by April 24, 2009
Industrial Roundtable
The East Bay and its city members are a part of the Bay Area Industrial Industrial Round (www.industrialroundtable.org) and its collaborative effort dedicated to the support of production, distribution and repair enterprise and employment in the San Francisco Bay region, with a focus on the inner Bay Area. The East Bay EDA hosts and provides support to the Roundtables website
Roundtable participants include business owners, trade associations, city planners, economic development professionals, workforce advocates, labor leaders, environmentalists, technical educators, social justice advocates and policy advisors.
